Type Soop has used the right idea - that of silicon by diatoms (commonly known as "algae") to the layers, the cover is constructed of 100% correct.

However, it was recommended to the bunker, do the same. Of course, not the relationship between diatoms and diatomaceous earth that is) the hull material (silicon, diatoms dead. (Google "diatomaceous earth)

But many people use sand as a substrate for fish, how to dig to find the sensitive barbels, or food (Cory) loach. You can use the diatoms by the frequent changes of water control and as a cushion to absorb the phosphate in the filter if you want to use it.

It undermines quartz sand in the coming months and my fish should periodically spawning season, so nothing wrong with a little sand, silicon aquarium to be fine and I do not see no harm caused Poly. I assume you want the poly-silicon below and click Paste on the sand. "I bent wood in me, I strips of lead using the form below. Why not think instead of plaster, like a policeman.

If you are outside of the container, it will not. When I went, I know that the aquarium will be covered silicon and quartz fine. Not sure of polystyrene.

Yes, of course. Many people make money in 3D for the use of Styrofoam containers and cement, silicone and inside the tank.
Here is a link with some fund DIY 3D.
